Job Description:
Assist. Controller, Investment Mgmt Our client, a leading global insurance and investments company, is seeking a highly talented Assistant Controller to backfill a role due to an internal promotion. The organization is one that places a high degree of focus on ethics & integrity, work/life balance, and employee engagement & development. This position will be a high profile contributor on a number of key corporate initiatives & teams. Functional requirements are as follows: 1) Bachelors degree & CPA and/or other relevant certifications 2) 10+ years progressive experience in investment accounting 3) Three to 5 years management. Solid 360 references. Demonstrated leadership both with and without straight-line reporting relationships. 4) Strong technical financial capabilities, but also ability to lead, mentor and develop a team into high performers. Personal Characteristics: 1) Works with the highest degree of ethics and integrity 2) Great individual contributor AND team player who creates synergies and is a demonstrated "value add" 3) Outstanding communications skills with people at all levels of the organization, up to and including executive leadership. 4) Ability to communicate the most complex things into laymens terms to create understanding and drive decision making. 5) A natural curiocity and drive for continuous improvement.
